We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at Wellpath. As a Physician, you will play a critical role in providing medical care to patients in collaboration with our Nurse Manager- Health Services & PI and ARNPs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and provide medical treatments to patients throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call coverage.
- Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all assessments and provide clinical oversight of ARNPs.
- Makes referrals for tests and consultations, monitors ongoing care of medical conditions, and provides education on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.
- Collaborates effectively with staff from other disciplines and is knowledgeable about the care and treatment needs of patients of different ages.
- Medical doctorate (MD) from an accredited university.
- Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, psychiatric experience referred.
- Licensed in the state of employment.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.
- Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.
