Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our team at Ashland Public Schools. As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of our school facilities, including grounds, buildings, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness and sanitation of assigned facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Monitor and maintain supply and equipment inventories, facility rentals, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, painting, and stripping floors.
  • Assist with snow removal, leaf cleanup, and other outdoor maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff to prepare for meetings and events, including setting up tables, chairs, and trash receptacles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the school district.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in cleaning and custodial work, including snow removal and equipment operation.
  • Valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license required.
Working Conditions

Work may involve occasional exposure to loud noises, unpleasant elements, and physical demands, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
