Job Description:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the outpatient surgery setting. This includes developing and implementing individualized care plans for each patient, communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care:
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any concerns to physicians
Clinical Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor less-experienced nurses
Quality Improvement:
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • Current RN licensure in state of practice
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in perioperative nursing
  • ACLS certification required
