We are seeking a highly skilled Physicist, Chemical Engineer or similar to join our Institute of Technical Thermodynamics, Department of Computer-Aided Electrochemistry in Ulm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create new mathematical models and computer simulations for interfaces in batteries.
  • Optimize the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries using machine learning methods for electric flying.
  • Develop novel lithium-metal electrodes in an international project.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
  • Support our experimental, international project partners in industry and academia.
Requirements:
  • Completed university studies in physics, engineering, mathematics, chemistry or similar (diploma/master) with excellent results.
  • Excellent English skills to communicate in our international team.
  • Fascination with battery research and development.
