Job Summary

The College of Southern Maryland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Massage Therapy Instructor to join our team. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching massage therapy courses to students in our Health Sciences Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach massage therapy courses, including theory and skills, clinical supervision, and anatomy and physiology
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in program review and development, and student learning outcomes assessment initiatives
  • Recommend textbooks and instructional materials
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in massage therapy education

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 500-600 hour Certificate in Massage Therapy, AAS preferred
  • Licensed Massage Therapist in Maryland
  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 3 years practice as LMT
  • Documented advanced training in the subject matter to be taught
  • CPR for Health care Providers
  • Teaching experience preferred and/or continuing education in massage instruction
