Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical/Surgical unit at Mercy Hospital Washington. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to adults and pediatric patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to medical and post-operative patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, empathy, and compassion.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • LPN-IV Certification (must be completed within 3 months of hire).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
