Small Engine Technician

ACE HARDWARE is seeking a skilled Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive exceptional service by properly diagnosing, repairing, and documenting equipment brought into our service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time and be prepared to work
- Work weekends and 6 days a week during peak season
- Repair assigned units efficiently, safely, and accurately
- Document all work performed on work orders for invoicing
- Capture product information, including serial numbers and model numbers, for warranty claims
- Clean repaired units before moving them to the outbound area
- Look up parts via computer and retrieve parts from shelves as needed
- Train and communicate with less-experienced technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform housekeeping duties in shop common areas and other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have own tools
- High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent, plus 2 years' experience in equipment repair preferred
- Experience in retail/equipment repair and/or educational equivalent preferred
- EETC and Stihl Silver Certification preferred
- Proficient in basic computer programs and Microsoft Office products
- Strong math skills preferred
