GENERAL SUMMARY:

OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
This role encompasses the statistical evaluation and programming for extensive international clinical studies.

Ideal candidates will possess advanced formal education in statistics or biostatistics, with a focus on the design and analysis of both observational and experimental research, alongside robust statistical computing expertise. The selected individual will collaborate closely with the Director of Biostatistics and Senior Investigators within the organization to formulate statistical evaluations for research protocols.


Career advancement opportunities will be available, particularly in relation to authorship roles for journal articles and presentations at professional scientific conferences.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Partner with Senior Investigators to design and execute statistical evaluations (including planning, programming, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of findings) for research protocols, subgroup analyses, post-hoc projects, and registry databases, culminating in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for scientific gatherings.
2. Identify and/or confirm the appropriate statistical tests to be applied for each analysis request.
3. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the objectives and goals of each clinical trial.
4. Organize data in a manner that facilitates accurate utilization and potential integration across multiple trials.
5. Ensure the upkeep of a current electronic archive that logs data requests, statistical evaluations, results, and data transmissions conducted.
6. Uphold departmental service standards as per the organizational Code of Conduct.
7. Perform additional duties as necessary and suitable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, make decisions based on sound principles, and independently troubleshoot issues.
  • Managerial skills to effectively interact with statistical personnel, Senior Investigators, and other members of both internal and external research teams.
  • Capability to devise strategies to address inaccuracies or other challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and process-focused
  • Adept at managing several projects concurrently, including both long-term and short-term initiatives
  • Ability to make decisions regarding statistical group matters pending final approval from the Director.
  • Innovative in developing methods to coordinate, manage, and report data as required by new trials.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment and competencies in clinical research.
