Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound exams on patients of all ages, from infants to adults, using various modalities and techniques.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and medical histories.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies.
- One to three years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist or Ultrasound Sonographer in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Current certification in ultrasound technology (e.g., RDMS, RDCS, or RVT).
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment, as well as stand for long periods.
