Accounting Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This role offers the chance to grow within the company and assume greater responsibilities as you grow into the role. Founded in 1960, our company is a family-run manufacturer and distributor of welding equipment based in Cincinnati. We serve customers across various industries, with a strong focus on automotive manufacturing. With sister organizations in the U.K., Germany, and San Luis Potos, Mexico, we pride ourselves on being a crucial partner in our customers' manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company's financial operations, including month-end close, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
  • Provide insights and strategies for future financial growth and cost efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and ensure positive cash flow.
  • Mentor and supervise the Accounting Assistant while also taking charge of payroll, credit, and customer relations.
  • Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory requirements, and continuously improve cost accounting processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records while upholding confidentiality and integrity.
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in accounting.
  • Bachelor's in accounting or related field; CPA a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with Sage, Excel, and report writing (Crystal).
  • Professional experience working with small businesses, in manufacturing, or technology industries.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with agility and versatility in a small business environment.
