Job Summary:

As a Switcher at FedEx, you will be responsible for performing trailer switches, communicating with management and central control, and documenting trailer moves. You will also perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment and understand and demonstrate effective yard switching safety processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform trailer switches, including hooking and moving trailers from the yard to load/unload doors or from doors to the yard.
Communicate with management and central control to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
Understand and demonstrate effective yard switching safety processes and procedures.

Requirements:

Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling packages.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with management and central control.
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and protocols.
