Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Professional Counselor 2-4 to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide professional counseling services to individuals and families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote access to care and resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the Louisiana Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
  • At least one year of professional level counseling experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
