Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer 2 to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on building and operating a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented software engineer to develop and maintain gateway services that perform comprehensive software assurance of applications running within a tenancy. This includes measures to prevent the deployment of malware or vulnerable code, as well as monitoring the flow of data in and out of the application's tenancy to prevent unauthorized exfiltration of data.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain gateway services to perform software assurance functions such as vulnerability scanning, signature validation, rules checking, policy compliance, and anomaly detection.
  • Intercept web traffic, operator actions, and CI/CD pipelines to perform software assurance functions.
  • Generate logs, audit trails, metrics, and alerts to enable automated and manual assurance of code as well as ingress/egress traffic.
  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers to design, develop, and operate gateway services.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of gateway services.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0-2+ years of experience with back-end development.
  • Proficient at high-level programming languages, preferably GO and Java.
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
  • Good knowledge of Computer Networking (OSI layers, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Routers, Gateways, Subnets, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science.
  • Prior hands-on experience developing cloud services and tools on Oracle Cloud/AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Experience with microservice design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
  • Experience working on large scale, highly distributed services infrastructure.
