Petroleum Engineering Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor in Petroleum Engineering to join our faculty at Texas Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's academic and research programs.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in petroleum engineering, including reservoir engineering and simulation
- Conduct research in petroleum engineering, with a focus on emerging areas such as carbon capture and storage, geothermal energy, and methane emission control
- Develop and teach courses in petroleum engineering and new emerging areas
- Collaborate with other professionals in the department, college, and other institutes on writing multi-disciplinary proposals and research projects
- Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field
- Demonstrated research ability as evidenced by a track record of publications in highly impacted journals
- Record of documents or submissions indicative of an active pursuit of external research funding
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in Reservoir Engineering and Reservoir Simulation
- Teaching experience is not required, but the candidate should show the ability to teach or share their expertise with a variety of audiences
