Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Server Assistant to join our team at Hotel Valley Ho. As a Server Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and friendly greetings to guests, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
  • Assist servers in delivering exceptional service, including water service offerings and replenishing throughout the meal.
  • Support the assigned server through the steps of service, ensuring that all tables are set to standards and that guests receive prompt and attentive service.
  • Bus tables and areas quickly and quietly, resetting dirty tables in accordance with service standards.
  • Set up and stock service stations in the kitchen and dining room, following side-work assignments and closing duties.
  • Break down bus trays at the dishwashing station and assist dishwashers as needed.
  • Know table and position numbers, and be able to fulfill the role of food runner when scheduled.
  • Assist servers to ensure that all tables in the dining room are set to standards.
  • Work together with other server assistants to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables getting along with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with all standards of fine dining service etiquette and adherence to these standards.
  • Ability to attend all scheduled staff meetings, pre-shifts, supplemental training sessions, and menu roll-outs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
