About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fiberglass Boat Hull Builder to join our team at Brunswick Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building and repairing fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using a variety of tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using spray guns, buffers, and other specialized tools.
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy, and understand the basics of fiberglass finishing and abrasive use.
  • Work closely with team members to achieve daily goals and meet production deadlines.
  • Handle and apply solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax, and ensure proper disposal.
  • Recognize and protect precious boat components while performing finishing duties.
Requirements
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements may include face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical-resistant suits.
  • Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching, and moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and a fast-paced, noisy environment.
  • Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned) and follow all safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Fiberglass repair and finishing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and use hand and pneumatic tools, buffers, and abrasive sanding tools/supplies.
  • Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment, displaying mutual respect.
