Position Summary

Townsend Corporation is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreperson to oversee project management of outdoor spaces, train and manage crew members, and ensure safety guidelines. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in horticulture and leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities Include
  • Project management and coordination
  • Manage and train crew members to ensure high-quality work
  • Ensure job site safety and compliance with regulations
  • Complete job worksheets and submit daily reports
  • Install and maintain trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and bulbs
  • Prune trees, shrubs, and roses to maintain aesthetic appeal
  • Edge and mulch planting beds and tree rings to enhance visual appeal
  • Promote weed control in planting beds and tree rings
  • Maintain plant health through regular inspections and maintenance
  • Identify plant material and potential pests or diseases
  • Use various power and hand tools to perform maintenance and installation tasks
  • Provide tools and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice
Requirements
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience as a Foreperson
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing situations
  • Meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy
  • 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
