About the Role

The Defense Health Agency is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing psychological counseling and therapy to our beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic efforts and implement changes to improve outcomes.
  • Screen and interview patients, conduct bio-psychological social evaluations, and provide expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
  • Assess acute mental health conditions in beneficiaries and provide individual and group therapy using various modalities as clinically indicated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the team lead.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Clinical Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
  • Must possess a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • Must have at least one year of experience performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling.
