Position Title: Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role involves engaging in cyber-security initiatives specifically tailored for Operational Technology settings within Transmission and Distribution Substations.

This includes safeguarding Protection and Control Systems, such as relays, RTUs, communication sets, Ethernet Switches, serial servers, controllers, monitors, and meters.


Important Note:
This is a Hybrid role, and the chosen candidate must reside within designated locations. The individual will be assigned to a job grade based on their experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and support cyber-security projects within substation environments.
  2. Execute and monitor issues related to device firmware updates.
  3. Diagnose and track cyber-security incidents affecting substations.
  4. Manage firewall Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  5. Address vulnerabilities and oversee firmware upgrades.
  6. Provide assistance and guidance to interfacing teams.
  7. Educate others on all matters concerning substation cyber security.
  8. Develop automation solutions and collaborate with vendors on tools for inventory management and device oversight.
  9. Oversee intermediate systems for remote access to substation environments.
  10. Support the NERC CIP program for substation settings.
  11. Participate in CIP Audits.
  12. Manage passwords for devices within substations.
  13. Oversee CIP Baselines for the substation environment.
  14. Facilitate cyber monitoring activities.
  15. Test representative devices for approval prior to standardization.
  16. Support SCADA applications to ensure reliability and security.
  17. Maintain dependable operations of the EMS, SCADA, and P&C systems.
  18. Propose enhancements to improve the quality and reliability of OT cyber security and related services.
  19. Define and implement Human Performance Initiative guidelines and Key Performance Indicators concerning OT Cyber Security processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Senior Cybersecurity Analyst:
(Grade 7)

Education:

Associate's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma accompanied by two years of relevant military or electric utility technical experience.


Experience:
A minimum of three years of relevant experience with an associate's degree, or four years of experience with a high school diploma.

Candidates holding a bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.


Cybersecurity Analyst:
(Grade 8)

Education:

Associate's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma with two years of relevant military or electric utility technical experience.


Experience:
A minimum of four years of relevant experience with an associate's degree, or five years of experience with a high school diploma.

Candidates with a bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

Compensation Range:

Senior Cybersecurity Analyst:
(SG7): $83,413-$104,268

Cybersecurity Analyst:
(SG8): $94,225- $122,491
