Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technician to join our team at Kent Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

About the Role

This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, scoring polysomnograms, and providing accurate reports to physicians. You will also assist with marketing the sleep lab to the community and provide educational programs for staff physicians.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct sleep studies using advanced equipment and techniques
- Score polysomnograms using standardized criteria and computer software
- Generate detailed reports for physicians, including analysis of sleep stages, heart rate, and respiratory patterns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders
- Participate in marketing efforts to promote the sleep lab and its services

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a vocational or technical training in polysomnography and at least one year of experience working in a sleep lab. You should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Experience with computerized PSG reporting systems is highly desirable.

Kent Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
