Leadership Responsibilities:

The Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the operations team, including leads, forklift operators, customer service agents, and additional support staff.

Core Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight (50%)

  • Guarantee compliance with production timelines by warehouse personnel to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Coordinate the workflow of supervisors and team members to sustain operational efficiency.
  • Anticipate daily workload demands and organize staffing to optimize labor resources.
  • Maximize warehouse space utilization to minimize inventory movement and enhance productivity.
  • Assess and requisition necessary equipment, materials, or supplies for order fulfillment.
  • Supervise the upkeep of operational equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they function safely and effectively.
  • Facilitate the movement of goods within the warehouse and during loading/unloading processes.

Regulatory Compliance and Documentation (5%)

  • Ensure adherence to safety initiatives, sanitation standards, policies, and established operational procedures in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Verify item quantities received and dispatched against shipping documentation, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory received and stored using both scanning technology and manual logs.

Team Management (25%)

  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and assess the performance of operations personnel.
  • Delegate and prioritize tasks and projects for team members.
  • Oversee daily time management for assigned staff.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.

Client Relations (20%)

  • Engage with clients regarding performance metrics.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients about all facets of their operations.
  • Address client inquiries and escalations promptly and effectively.
