Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Early Assessment and Support Alliance team in Salem, OR. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy screenings/assessments and behavioral health interventions for individuals diagnosed with conditions on the schizophrenia spectrum and individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services for consumers receiving IDD services in Marion County and for early psychosis programs covering Marion, Polk, and Linn counties.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans, including occupational profiles and performance analyses.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for consumers.
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation to occupational therapy interventions and recommendations to treatment team members, student interns, and other professionals.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and skills groups, including MFG, Health Lifestyles, and social skills groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
  • Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
  • Must possess and retain an Occupational Therapist License issued by the State of Oregon.
  • Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history.
Working Conditions

This is a Safety Sensitive/Special Needs position. The successful candidate must pass a post-offer drug screen, including testing for marijuana. The position may be subject to the following: Must not be excluded from participation in the federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits); AND must not be excluded from participating in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No).

Benefits

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents. Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.
