We are seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team at Sigma Health Rehab. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Respiratory Rehab Service Position.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with respiratory illnesses and develop effective treatment plans to improve their quality of life.
- Respiratory Techniques: Implement a variety of respiratory techniques, including oxygen weaning therapy, omniflow – biofeedback, and aerosol therapy, to maintain and progress patients' rehab.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, check, and assemble equipment, including mechanical ventilators, spirometers, and oxygen therapy devices, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation, and communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Education and Training: Provide in-services for nursing staff every quarter and attend applicable IDT meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and protocols.
- Education: Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
- Licensure: Licensed as RRT or CRT and licensed in the state in which practicing.
- Certifications: BLS certification.
This is a part-time position within a Skilled Nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a long-term care setting and be able to relocate to Dover, OH before starting work.
