At Cross Timbers Animal Medical Center, we understand that pets are family. If you have a passion for animals and a knack for connecting with them, we invite you to consider joining our dedicated team as a part-time Animal Care Technician. Our well-established clinic specializes in small animal care and is supported by a team of three full-time veterinarians. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive work atmosphere and are eager to welcome a new member to our family.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in animal care, although training will be provided
- Familiarity with safe and effective restraint methods for both dogs and cats
- Understanding of blood sampling and intravenous catheter placement
- Capability to administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections
- Proficiency in intubating patients, conducting dental cleanings, and monitoring anesthesia
- Strong knowledge of common veterinary medications and terminology
Candidate Requirements:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Friendly and approachable with both colleagues and clients, in person and over the phone
- Willingness to learn and committed to exceptional client service and patient care
- Ability to maintain a positive and respectful workplace culture
- Availability on select weekdays and weekends
