Host/Hostess Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team at Keke's Cafe in Sunnyvale. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and manage the efficient seating of guests to tables that best accommodate their preferences.
  • Accurately manage and utilize the reservation system, handle to-go orders, and answer questions regarding large parties and catering.
  • Keep the host area, floors, and door glass clean and presentable.
  • Must be flexible and willing to assist in any front-of-house (FOH) positions, including performing bathroom checks and cleaning, as needed.
Requirements:
  • No prior restaurant experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
  • Fun, upbeat personality, acting with kindness and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Current, valid California food handlers card.
