Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system.
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Perform extractions, injections, and collect path/lab specimens, notifying patients of results and scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Educate patients and respond to their questions in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Document all medical instructions given to patients and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
Requirements
  • Certification preferred (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician).
  • Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and colleagues.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
Work Environment

This position is in a well-lighted medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work. You must be able to possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines, including computers and calculators, and have mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
