Position Overview
The Energy Components application is a customizable software solution by Quorum Software that aids in managing production volumes through a Java-based front-end and an Oracle database back-end. The Senior Analyst - Allocation Specialist role is part of the Information Technology Technical Capabilities organization and focuses on the technical operation and configuration of various global instances of the Energy Components application. This role involves collaboration with U.S. and international teams engaged in hydrocarbon production volume management and revenue accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 technical support for multiple globally distributed instances of the Energy Components application.
- Diagnose and resolve general or system-level issues.
- Develop Oracle database objects and configure the Energy Components application.
- Create and manage ServiceNow Incidents, Tasks, and Change Requests.
- Handle Atlassian Jira Work Requests, Stories, and Sub-Tasks.
- Modify MathML equations in existing allocation calculations.
- Support modifications to Energy Components application .ear, .war, and .jar files.
- Convert existing FORTRAN code into modern programming languages.
- Manage daily work according to SAFe Agile processes.
- Craft and update process documentation.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- 10+ years of Information Technology experience in a technical role within the oil and gas sector.
- 10+ years of experience providing technical support for diverse Energy Components application instances, including version 13.x.
- 10+ years supporting allocation networks and MathML equation calculations.
- 10+ years of experience developing Oracle relational database objects.
- 7+ years of experience with Java programming of Energy Components application .ear, .war, and .jar files.
- Able to provide day-to-day application support and after-hours callout on a rotational basis.
- 12+ years of experience providing technical support for multiple Energy Components application instances for a major international oil company, including version 13.2.x.
- 12+ years of experience developing Oracle relational database objects.
- 10+ years of experience using TOAD for Oracle or SQL Developer.
- 5+ years of experience using ServiceNow for Incident Management and Problem Resolution.
- 1+ years of experience using Atlassian Jira for agile workflow.
- Intermediate knowledge of FORTRAN, C, or other programming languages.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse international groups.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Responsible for taking ownership of actions and delivering on commitments.
- Build effective solutions based on available information and make timely decisions.
