Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender/Barista to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving drinks and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers and presenting beverage menus
• Make recommendations and answer customer inquiries, checking identification to verify age
• Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers, accurately recording drink orders into the register system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes, peeling, slicing, and pitting fruit for garnishing
• Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specifications, serving snacks to customers seated at the bar
• Upsell drink and snack items, responding promptly to customer requests in a polite and professional manner
• Process transactions using the POS system, preparing checks for customers, and processing customer payments
• Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive displays, ensuring clean glasses, bar equipment, and working areas
• Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies, balancing the cash register at the start and close of each shift
• Monitor inventory, ordering and restocking bar supplies as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years
• Working knowledge of standard drink recipes and spirits, wine, and beer
• Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments
• Working knowledge of bar equipment and mixology skills an advantage
• Numeracy and cash-handling skills, ability to work flexible schedules
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods, reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
