The University of Rochester seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join its team. As a key member of the rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients with brain injuries and cognitive impairments.

Job Summary

This is a per diem position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral sciences and experience working with patients who require assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily bathing, feeding, and dressing
  • Document shift progress and care plan notes
  • Interact directly with patients during therapy sessions
  • Educate patient caregivers on the care plan and post-discharge support plan
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Associate's degree in Behavioral Sciences
  • Two to three years of experience in related patient care or psychiatric training
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation
