Job Overview

PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Production Equipment Technician. This role involves working Monday through Friday, with a shift from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm, including mandatory overtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize measurement tools such as decimals, fractions, scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges effectively.
  • Understand quality standards and contribute to achieving and maintaining production quality objectives.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, job layouts, and quality procedures to perform tasks accurately.
  • Adjust safety mechanisms and guide others in the proper and safe operation of machinery.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and walk-lifts, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Set up and adjust compound and progressive dies, ensuring correct die spacing and clearances, and manage automatic and mechanical feeds.
  • Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes while meeting production targets.
  • Identify when tooling requires maintenance and address issues promptly.
  • Work independently with limited supervision and carry out additional assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity are required.
  • Accurate completion of time sheets and production documentation is necessary.
  • Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift changes with minimal notice.
  • Maintain a good safety record, attendance, and overall performance.
  • Ability to identify parts by catalog number, conduct quality inspections, and detect defects.
  • Experience in operating presses and meeting production requirements is preferred.
  • Capable of loading, unloading, and feeding materials into dies.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver loads of 40 lbs. or more without assistance.
  • Ability to apply up to 125 ft. lbs. of torque to mounting bolts.
  • During the initial training period, successful completion of forklift and hand lift operation training is required.
