About the Role

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key component of our healthcare team, the Medical Assistant will work closely with primary care physicians to deliver exceptional patient care to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update patient health records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Measure vital signs, including pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Prepare treatment rooms for upcoming examinations and ensure all necessary equipment is available
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner
  • Perform departmental-related clerical duties, including checking inventory, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones as needed
  • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
Requirements
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association certification (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days of hire)
  • One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required)
  • Two years of clerical experience in a physician's office (preferred, not required)
