Key Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads trucks, carts, and other conveyances with materials and supplies
  • Moves, packs, unpacks, sorts, segregates, arranges, stacks, piles, or relocates a variety of packages and items
  • Assembles items according to receiving documents and storage procedures
  • Selects and sets up proper storage areas for materials considering size, shape, quantity, use, and potential damage
  • Stores, stacks, and palletizes items based on established procedures
  • Uses manual and powered equipment to move stock and receives stock movement orders through paper or automated devices
  • Identifies item locations using computer systems or RF equipment and pulls stock for delivery to specified locations
  • Completes inventory-tracking information and ensures accurate quantities and assembled items for issue
  • May cluster pick several orders simultaneously following established procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • General experience in processing, handling, and storing materials and equipment through a supply facility
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, and reach
  • Experience following safety procedures to recognize and report workplace hazards
