Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulatory Care RN to join our team at Trident Medical Center. As an Ambulatory Care RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients undergoing surgery, endoscopy, and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients upon return from OR and/or diagnostic procedure, documenting findings and providing safe nursing care.
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders, documenting all patient-related information and administering medication and IV fluids accurately and safely.
  • Update and revise the plan of care as needed, based on continued assessment of the patient, including providing care for patient discharge to the nursing unit.
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to perceive potential problem situations and intervene to offset adverse effects.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience in Critical Care or PACU Nursing is strongly preferred.
