Core Responsibilities:

  • Safety Adherence: Comply with all safety regulations and protocols. Utilize hand and power tools responsibly, wear appropriate personal protective gear, and complete necessary safety training.
  • Vehicle Movement: Safely maneuver vehicles to designated areas for cleaning, park them according to guidelines, and transport vehicles as needed for emergencies or maintenance.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after use, document findings, report any concerns, and verify damage against inspection reports.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Ensure vehicles are operational by fueling, checking fluid levels, and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Customer Service: Prepare vehicles for service by following checklist procedures, cleaning both the interior and exterior, and managing informational materials.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, manage inventory, and request additional supplies as necessary.
  • Financial Procedures: Adhere to internal controls regarding fare collection and ensure fare media is stocked appropriately.
  • Information Sharing: Provide updates and information to management regarding vehicle status and readiness.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary logs and paperwork accurately.
  • Emergency Operations: Operate transit vehicles to assist operators or dispatchers during emergency situations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Preferred six months of driving experience.
  • Experience in vehicle or truck servicing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is beneficial.
  • Proficient in using computer database applications.
  • Capable of maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Must meet hiring criteria, including age requirements, acceptable driving record, and successful background checks.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
