Key Details:
- Location: UCHealth YVMC YampaCare Cardiology
- Department: YVMC YampaCare Cardiology
- Employment Type: PRN, 0.0 FTE
- Shift: Rotating
- Compensation: $58.08 per hour, based on relevant experience
- Completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Certification as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- State licensure as required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid through sixty days post-hire.
- Deliver high-quality patient care through various ultrasound procedures.
- Embrace a collaborative team approach to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate expertise by mentoring new staff and sharing knowledge within the imaging department.
- Adapt to new information and techniques in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times.
- Assess patient history and physician orders, manage scheduling, and educate patients about procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to any changes.
- Select optimal imaging parameters and exposure factors, and perform imaging procedures with precision.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment.
- Analyze imaging results and address any quality issues that arise.
