Operating Room Technician

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Instrument Processing: Receive, clean, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are ready for use in the operating room.
- Quality Control: Perform daily quality checks and tests on the sterile processing environment, instrumentation, and equipment to ensure compliance with AAMI standards and manufacturer's instructions.
- Documentation: Accurately document sterilization, high-level disinfection, and other tasks via electronic records or paper charting.
- Team Collaboration: Assist in the orientation of new employees to the work assignment area and department operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: Sterile Processing certification (HSPA) is highly preferred.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
