Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about animal welfare, driven, and meticulous. Our Veterinary Technicians are integral to our team, collaborating closely with our Veterinarians (DVMs) during medical procedures.A full-time role entails working between 30-40 hours weekly, including a mix of day and evening shifts.
Responsibilities include supporting veterinarians to ensure high-quality veterinary services, advocating for pets, and educating pet owners.Assist with various hospital functions to enhance productivity and maintain smooth patient flow.
Participate in surgeries and procedures as per your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
Monitor and evaluate patient conditions
Collect blood and other samples for diagnostic testing.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific pet health issues and provide guidance on membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
Help maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records with the assistance of practice management systems.Gather relevant health histories and information from clients and manage medical charts.
Employ safe restraint techniques, adhere to standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, examination rooms, and laboratories.
Previous veterinary experience is essential.
