Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.


The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to develop simulations to support intelligence analysis modeling and simulation (M&S) Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) objectives.

The engineer will work to design, develop, test, and document simulations related to Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT).


All work is in Dayton, OH.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop PNT simulations incorporating GNSS models.
  • Incorporate new algorithms into the simulation as required.
  • Analyze simulation results to determine effectiveness in meeting objectives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in EE, AE, CS or related field and 4+ years of experience in M&S in a related field or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in M&S in a related field.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for a TS/SCI.
  • Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) engineering experience.
  • 3+ yrs C++ experience.
  • 2+ yrs Python experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • MATLAB/Simulink Experience.
  • Experience with / understanding of GNSS receiver algorithms.
  • Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) experience or knowledge.
  • Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL), and Verilog experience.
