Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter-Paramedic to join our team at the City of Southfield, MI. As a Firefighter-Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, providing medical care, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care as needed
  • Maintain equipment, apparatus, and buildings to ensure readiness for emergency situations
  • Participate in daily drills and training activities to stay up-to-date on emergency response procedures
  • Perform routine housekeeping of fire station facilities, grounds, and equipment
  • Participate in fire safety surveys and pre-plans to identify potential hazards
Requirements
  • Must have a State of Michigan Paramedic License
  • Must have the State of Michigan Firefighter I & II Certification
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and a good driving record
  • Must have no felony convictions and no record of serious misdemeanor convictions
