About the Role

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our surgeons and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Scrub Duties: Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures to enable proper performance of scrub duties and to anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
  • Instrument Management: Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.
  • Post-Operative Care: Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and surgical draping according to surgeon's protocol.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the turnover of the O.R. suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces, as required.
  • Procedure Room Preparation: Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certified Surgical Technician.
  • Current Certification: Current BLS certification.
