About the Job
  • Work as a Physical Therapist in a travel assignment setting.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments or disabilities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical abilities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review medical history and diagnostic tests to understand patient conditions.
  • Establish baseline data to create tailored treatment plans.
Developing Treatment Plans:
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans that address patient goals and progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop a comprehensive treatment approach.
Providing Therapeutic Interventions:
  • Implement various physical therapy interventions, including strengthening exercises and manual therapy.
  • Educate patients on proper posture and movement techniques.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients performing exercises both in-clinic and at home.
Patient Education and Support:
  • Educate patients on the importance of following their prescribed physical therapy regimen.
  • Teach patients strategies to manage pain and promote physical wellness.
  • Offer guidance on lifestyle changes that may improve function.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients.
  • Provide regular updates to the interdisciplinary team on patient progress and changes in treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families throughout the treatment process.
Monitoring and Reassessing Progress:
  • Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document the effectiveness of therapies and make recommendations for changes based on patient feedback.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting evaluations, treatments, and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements.
Prevention and Wellness:
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs to help patients reduce the risk of future injuries.
  • Promote physical wellness and functional independence through health education and the development of long-term fitness goals.
Advocacy and Community Resources:
  • Advocate for patients to ensure they receive necessary equipment and assistive devices.
  • Guide patients in accessing community resources, support groups, and programs to continue rehabilitation or physical wellness after discharge.

As a Magnet Medical employee, you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package. Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
