Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team at Parkland Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Assist in providing total care of the patient before, during, and after procedures, including physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support.
- Document patient information in a complete and timely manner, utilizing computer charting and ordering systems.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to manage a multitasking workload, ensuring efficient delivery of care for multiple patient assignments.
- Triaging patients according to the Emergency Nursing Association triage category systems and maintaining excellent assessment and reassessment skills to determine the response to medications and treatments.
- Provide information to patients, assess barriers to learning, and utilize colleagues as resources as needed, providing counseling on health behaviors.
- Collect specimens for point-of-care moderately complex testing according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform point-of-care moderately complex testing according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform and document instrument maintenance, perform quality control according to established procedures, and troubleshoot instruments effectively when necessary.
- Associate's Degree in Registered Professional Nursing (RN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- New Hampshire RN license or Compact License, when applicable.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- 2 years of RN experience in Cath Lab and Interventions, preferred.
