A Day in the Life
You will work as a PRN Pharmacy Technician - Dispensing and Support Specialist, supporting all functions of the Genoa pharmacy. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Filling prescription orders and making them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
- Ordering, receiving, and storing incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receiving and processing wholesaler medication orders.
- Verifying medication stock and entering data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Working with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Performing various clerical duties relating to the department.
- Communicating with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Providing exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of South Dakota.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (desired).
- Pharmacy Technician experience in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting (desired).
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (desired).
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
