Software Engineer Position

At Southeastern Comp Consultants Inc, we are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Gun Computer System (GCS) Mark (MK) 160 program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coding and integrating new technologies to enhance existing system baselines
  • Developing and proposing technical approaches aligned with military standards and specifications
  • Debugging and analyzing system anomalies in fielded and development systems
  • Collaborating with Agile Scrum Teams to meet Sprint objectives
  • Ensuring adherence to configuration management for all coding
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
  • Minimum five years of experience in software engineering applied to program development, modeling, and/or simulation
  • Two years of experience with Navy or Joint systems
  • Proficiency in software development using Windows, Linux, C/C++, and Java programming languages
  • Ability to write unit tests for Java and/or C++ user interfaces
  • Willingness to develop software using pair programming and swarming techniques under agile processes
