Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Vacuum Truck Driver to join our team at Atlantic Heating & Cooling Service. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a vacuum truck and dump truck as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Vacuum Truck: Safely and efficiently operate a vacuum truck to perform various tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Drive Dump Truck: Operate a dump truck as needed to transport materials and equipment.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vacuum trucks and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following all safety protocols and procedures, and reporting any near misses or safety concerns.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A or B: Possess a valid CDL Class A or B license with a good driving record.
  • Experience: Have 2-3 years of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment.
  • Qualifications: Meet the qualification requirements listed below.
Qualification Requirements
  • Manual Transmission: Be able to effectively operate a manual transmission.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills.
  • Additional Experience: Have additional experience in related work, such as emergency response, manual labor, general construction, or industrial cleaning.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Possess a valid Class B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Background Check: Pass a pre-employment background and substance screening process, including employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be outdoors in all weather conditions, and may expose employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust. Employees will regularly work near heavy equipment and moving machinery, and may be exposed to various substances commonly found on construction sites or equipment shops.
