Clinical Informatics Pharmacist

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $111,000 to $159,000 based on the location and hiring range provided.
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Informatics Pharmacist to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our clinical information systems. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, design, develop, and implement clinical information systems for pharmacy ordering, administration, and documentation.
In this role, you will work closely with clinicians, leadership, and vendors to achieve high-quality patient care and efficient system operations. Your focus will be on supporting our outpatient retail pharmacy operational teams using Willow Ambulatory and Epic Inventory workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with Pharmacy Management regarding project updates, timeliness, and issues, providing recommendations to improve systems.
- Evaluate, coordinate, and test all system changes and updates, understanding their impact on medication safety, pharmacy practice, and efficiencies.
- Maintain current knowledge of technology and healthcare environment by attending continuing education offerings and reading related materials.
- Participate in on-call duties, responding to calls within 15 minutes and handling or escalating issues accordingly.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required, along with two years of pharmacist experience if the degree held is a Bachelor's. If holding a Pharm.D. degree, no prior experience is necessary.
