We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of all food items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Independently prepare all food items as directed by management and to company specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all food products for quality and ensure that they meet company standards.
  • Inventory Management: Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of the walk-in and when returning food to the walk-in.
  • Culinary Equipment Maintenance: Safely and properly use all culinary equipment and maintain them in good working condition.
  • Culinary Skills and Techniques: Demonstrate a solid understanding of cooking skills and techniques and maintain a high level of culinary expertise.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Health Department and EcoSure standards at all times.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Attend department meetings and other company required trainings, and complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: At least 4 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Ability to work efficiently without needing immediate supervision from management.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with weights and measures, and ability to follow and multiply standard recipes.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills.
  • High-Pressure Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Culinary Education: Culinary degree and/or formal training preferred.
  • Certifications: Texas Food Handlers certification required.
Working Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight, and to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending and twisting.
  • Exposure to Hazardous Conditions: Exposure to humidity, steam, and extreme temperatures, as well as hazardous cleaning chemicals.
