Critical Care Nurse Specialist

Care New England Health System is a trusted organization fueling the latest advances in medical research. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Per Diem to join our team.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse Per Diem, you will provide direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. You will participate in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of your patients.
Educational Requirements
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RI nursing license is required. A B.S.N. is also necessary. With a minimum of 3 years of Acute Care Experience, you will be able to administer medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications. Additionally, you will assume the role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
Availability
The first week of training consists of 4 shifts of day training. After that, the remaining training will consist of 3 to 4 shifts per week (1st or 2nd), with no weekends or holidays. As a Per Diem Position, you will require 6 shifts per month, including 2 weekend shifts. The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include participating as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
