Position Summary

Cresco Labs is on the lookout for a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst to become a vital part of our corporate finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cost Accounting and Analysis, this role will play a crucial part in our cost accounting and analysis operations. Responsibilities will encompass the preparation of quarterly cost models, monthly estimates, and key performance indicators (KPIs), along with the development of essential schedules for accounting, auditing, tax, and external reporting. The ideal candidate will maintain the integrity and structure of the cost models, implement process enhancements, and ensure standardization. We seek a self-motivated individual who is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in cost and inventory accounting.
  • Oversee the processing and preparation of inventory analysis cost models for designated markets.
  • Act as a liaison with operational teams for the markets linked to the assigned cost models.
  • Collaborate with operational teams on significant cost-related projects.
  • Conduct quarterly inventory analysis and valuation, developing monthly estimates and key assumptions.
  • Calculate inventory reserve schedules quarterly.
  • Prepare monthly cost estimates and necessary KPIs.
  • Develop schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing financial statement analytics quarterly.
  • Engage in operational cost model and SKU-level analysis initiatives to enhance profitability reporting, transforming data and trends into actionable insights.
  • Participate in or lead monthly and quarterly meetings with operational teams to foster business growth and share key cost insights.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures as the company expands.
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls.
  • Interact with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Willingness to travel to facilities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for cost/inventory accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with large datasets, complex functions, and nested formulas.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (Intacct and BPC preferred) and understanding of data structure and reporting requirements.
  • Power Query skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a consistent track record of completing assigned tasks.
  • Enjoyment of working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and directives.
  • Deadline-oriented with the capability to work independently in an organized manner.
  • Experience working directly with external auditors is advantageous.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends during quarter close periods.

Compensation

In compliance with local and state compensation regulations, the estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, plus eligibility for bonuses. Final offer details and future compensation may be influenced by various factors, including geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations.
