Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Duke GI – Endoscopy of Raleigh. As a key member of our endoscopy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• Prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for endoscopic procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and promoting a positive experience.
• Assist physician and nursing personnel during procedures, handling instruments and equipment with precision and care.
• Maintain infection control standards, adhering to Duke Health's strict protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to transport patients to and from the procedure room, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Perform manual cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes, adhering to established protocols.
• Distribute supplies as needed, maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment and materials.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or successful completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam.
